What better way to beat the mid-week struggle? Well, not long ago, Peach Emma had a splendid afternoon at Dover Street Arts Club, indulging in a bubbly afternoon tea with Pocket Wardrobe and a fabulous group of plus size bloggers.
Over a good cuppa and the odd cream cake, we used the time to catch up, discuss and receive some fantastic feedback around a much talked about topic in the world of fashion; plus size. Attending the event were UK plus size bloggers; Mrs Bebe, She Might be Loved, Lottie L'Amour, Fat Beauty, Pretty Big Butterflies, Editor of SLiNK magazine Rivkie Baum and founder of The Curve Fashion Festival, Zoe Pennick.
Pocket Wardrobe is a new fashion app for plus size women, solving sartorial dilemmas and providing a community united in solving any fashion frustrations. Pocket Wardrobe takes on the role of your very own personal stylist, anywhere, anytime. All the stylists who work with Pocket Wardrobe are fashion experts and will do the hard work of searching for the right fashion options for you.
The afternoon proved to be an eye opener, as we delved into the meaning of plus size fashion and explored many opinions and first-hand experiences. The importance of education was a bit topic; education on female body shapes is extremely important in today's changing society for both brands and consumers as is the need for choice.
Many UK fashion brands including H&M and New Look are keeping their plus size ranges on the down low. We understand that it is not their main offering but the plus size market is ripe to be catered for so why are retailers so reticent?
Pocket Wardrobe allows you to explore the retail offering in a new and unique way and we are confident that they will be making some pretty big waves in the tech and fashion worlds in doing so.
